In the northern section of County Tipperary there is beautiful area that goes on for miles. This area is know as Lough Derg. There were many places to pull over and take landscape photos. Our favorite was waiting in line for a one-lane bridge in Killaloe.
What a clear day … after weeks of below average temperatures, Ireland was finally experiencing sun and warmth. The key to sun was that it was lasting all day long. I now understand why you see two weather statistics … one is daylight and one is sunlight. We had sixteen hours of daylight each day since we were visiting during late June. The key is to always look at the sunlight statistic. So, while there are sixteen hours of daylight in June, the average sunlight is only about six hours. Ireland was experiencing sunlight = daylight … and everyone was out and enjoying it!
